Key Responsibilities

  • Elaborate user stories under the Product Lead’s guidance, documenting business rules, validations, and functional requirements.
  • Draft wireframes for key user journeys to support discussions with business stakeholders and engineers.
  • Document existing processes through business shadowing, compare them with target-state processes, and identify gaps.
  • Assess existing platform capabilities and support process harmonisation, escalating deviations to the Product Lead.
  • Define clear, testable acceptance criteria and conduct functional and integration testing, including defect reporting and retesting.
  • Use SQL to investigate data behaviour and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Support stakeholder workshops by demonstrating platform capabilities and documenting decisions and action items.
  • Use AI tools to draft and refine user stories and acceptance criteria, validating outputs against business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Product Lead, engineers, Test Lead, and business stakeholders to deliver features from requirements through testing and production.

Key Requirements

  • Min 1 year of Business Analysis experience, including exposure to Agile environment using JIRA and sprint-based delivery.
  • Experience with government, public-sector, or regulated systems, supporting feature delivery from requirements through production.
  • Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into functional designs and support development.
  • Experience documenting existing processes, defining target states, and identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to write testable acceptance criteria and test functionality against them.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data queries and system investigation.
  • Experience using AI tools for requirements drafting, with the ability to validate and refine generated outputs.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery, including story elaboration, development support, testing, defect management, and retesting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn and incorporate feedback.

Desirable

  • Experience with test automation tools or willingness to learn and apply them from the first sprint.
  • Exposure to enforcement, regulatory, licensing, or case management systems.
  • Experience working with enterprise platforms and supporting process harmonisation across organisations.
