The Opportunity

Role Overview This role drives the product strategy, customer experience, and end-to-end delivery of key digital initiatives. The position focuses on shaping innovative features, gamification mechanics, partnership ecosystems, and customer growth programs while collaborating closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Homepage & Customer Experience Management a) Drive homepage refresh initiatives and digital experience enhancements leveraging modern UI/UX frameworks, content management systems, and analytics tools. b) Collaborate with Platform and Engineering teams using agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to execute design enhancements, tile optimisation, and feature prioritisation. c) Drive implementation and adoption of dynamic presentment engines and customer engagement features. d) Utilise product analytics and performance monitoring platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to track customer impact, conversion metrics, and optimisation opportunities.

2. Gamification & Customer Engagement e) Scale existing and new gamification initiatives using gamification platforms and loyalty engine technologies. f) Coordinate pilots and partner integrations involving rewards, loyalty mechanics, and engagement APIs. g) Partner with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer participation, retention rates, and lifetime value through data-driven feature enhancements.

3. Partnerships & Campaign Delivery h) Oversee digital marketing and engagement campaigns—including coupon-led, banner-led, and promotional mechanics—using campaign management and marketing automation platforms. i) Coordinate campaign deployment with Marketing, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams through collaborative workflow tools. j) Support merchant onboarding portals, partner API integrations, and digital campaign execution activities. k) Ensure campaigns are delivered on schedule, adhering to digital governance, risk management, and regulatory frameworks. l) Monitor campaign performance metrics and propose continuous optimisation opportunities.

4. Cards, Rewards & Customer Growth Initiatives m) Support product research initiatives and customer proposition development using market research analytics tools and customer feedback platforms. n) Coordinate feasibility studies and business assessments with internal stakeholders and external research partners. o) Identify cross-sell opportunities across Cards, Rewards, and partner ecosystems via core banking and customer data platforms. p) Support business case preparation and product enhancement recommendations backed by data modeling and market insights.

5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management q) Act as the primary business contact for assigned initiatives across product and technology domains. r) Coordinate with external vendors, digital agencies, research partners, and API solution providers. s) Drive alignment across Product, Technology, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, and Legal teams using enterprise collaboration software. t) Manage issue resolution, technical dependency tracking, and escalation pathways through structured ticketing and backlog management systems.

6. Team Coordination & Workstream Oversight u) Provide day-to-day coordination and guidance across ongoing initiatives managed by the team using agile frameworks and project tracking tools. v) Review project progress, technical risks, defect backlogs, and delivery timelines. w) Ensure continuity of execution across technical and business workstreams. x) Facilitate stakeholder discussions and drive timely, data-informed decision-making. y) Maintain visibility of key deliverables and operational commitments via executive dashboard tools.

7. Governance, Risk & Delivery Management z) Ensure initiatives comply with internal governance, risk, and regulatory requirements using compliance tracking and audit management tools. aa) Coordinate technical approvals, business signoffs, and stakeholder concurrence through secure workflow systems. bb) Maintain project documentation, status reporting, and management updates in centralised repositories. cc) Track technical dependencies, operational risks, issue logs, and mitigation plans. dd) Support audit, risk, and operational readiness activities.

Required Experience 1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in either Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

2. Experience: a) 10+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of successfully launching and scaling digital products or platforms. b) Minimum 5+ years in a senior product role, leading strategic initiatives. c) Essential: Strong experience in the financial services industry, ideally within retail banking, digital payments, or fintech. d) Essential: Demonstrable experience in driving consumer initiatives for a consumer-facing digital product. e) Experience with app-based platform growth and user engagement strategies. f) High level of comfort working with technology and delivery teams in ensuring timely execution of features.

3. Skills: a) Strategic Thinker: Ability to translate high-level business goals into actionable product strategies and roadmaps. b) Creative Problem Solver: Innate comfort with balancing creative efforts (e.g., compelling campaign design, user experience) with data-driven decision-making. c) Data Acumen: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, draw meaningful insights, and make data-informed decisions. d) Technical Fluency: Understanding of digital product development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and relevant technologies. e) Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade diverse stakeholders. f) Customer Centricity: Deep empathy for consumer needs and behaviors, with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences. g) Results-Oriented: Proven ability to deliver measurable business outcomes in a fast-paced environment. h) Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams without direct authority.
