Job Purpose

We are seeking an Investment Solutions & Product Analyst to support the development, analysis, management and commercialization of investment products, portfolios and investment solutions across wealth management and institutional channels.

The role will work closely with the CEO/CIO and Portfolio Managers to translate the firm’s investment views and capabilities into well-constructed portfolios, clear and differentiated product propositions, and commercially viable investment solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Portfolio Analysis & Investment Solutions

  • Support the development and analysis of model portfolios and investment solutions across multiple asset classes.
  • Analyse portfolio performance, risk, exposures, return drivers and positioning.
  • Support portfolio construction and implementation, including asset allocation, portfolio weights and investment constraints.
  • Conduct portfolio and scenario analysis to support investment and product decisions.

2. Product Development & Management

  • Develop and manage investment products based on market trends, client needs and the firm’s investment capabilities.
  • Work closely with the CEO/CIO, Portfolio Managers and sales to define product objectives, target clients, investment approach and key product features.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify product opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Risk, Legal & Compliance, Operations and external partners throughout product development and launch.

3. Investment & Product Analysis

  • Maintain a strong understanding of financial markets and multiple asset classes and financial instruments, including fixed income, equities, currencies, derivatives, funds/ETFs and structured products.
  • Analyse investment strategies and products, including their key characteristics, risks, return drivers and suitability for different client segments.
  • Evaluate new investment and product ideas and support the development of investment proposals.

4. Client, Sales & Business Development Support

  • Support sales in product launches, client discussions and business development activities.
  • Participate in selected client, distributor and institutional partner meetings where investment/product expertise is required.
  • Prepare pitchbooks, product proposals, client presentations, factsheets and investment/product papers.
  • Translate investment concepts and portfolio analysis into clear, concise and commercially relevant communication.
  • Support client and distributor enquiries and follow-up actions.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in asset management, investment solutions, product development, wealth management or institutional investment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and multiple asset classes and financial instruments, including fixed income, equities, currencies, derivatives, funds/ETFs and structured products.
  • Good understanding of investment products, asset allocation and portfolio construction.
  • Ability to translate client objectives, constraints and investment views into practical portfolio construction and investment solutions.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with investment professionals, senior management, distributors, clients and external institutional partners.
  • Commercially minded, with an ability to understand client needs and translate investment capabilities into practical product solutions.
  • Comfortable working across Investment, Sales/Distribution, Risk, Legal & Compliance and Operations.
  • Proficiency in Chinese language is preferred as substantial communication with our Head Office and clients in Chinese speaking markets
