Production Engineer – Valve & Quality Documentation

Company: Good Gear Solution Pte Ltd Location: Tuas, Singapore

Job Summary: We are looking for a Production Engineer to support our valve-related production, inspection, testing, servicing, and quality documentation activities. The role requires a hands-on engineer who can work with valves and test equipment while also maintaining accurate technical records and preparing documentation for customer and quality audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and support inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repair and servicing of industrial valves, including safety/relief valves and other valve types.
  • Assist with valve test bench operation, pressure testing, functional testing and recording of test results.
  • Carry out incoming, in-process and final inspections of valves, components and equipment.
  • Review valve specifications, drawings, datasheets, certificates and customer technical requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test reports, calibration records, checklists, certificates and production records.
  • Prepare and organize documentation required for customer audits, internal audits and external accreditation/quality audits.
  • Support documentation and implementation related to ISO/IEC 17025, quality procedures and applicable API/customer requirements.
  • Ensure equipment calibration, maintenance and verification records are properly maintained and traceable.
  • Assist with non-conformance reports (NCR), corrective actions, root-cause investigation and follow-up documentation.
  • Maintain proper traceability of valves, parts, materials, serial numbers and relevant certificates.
  • Coordinate with Production, Inspection, Technical/Engineering and Quality teams to ensure jobs are completed according to requirements.
  • Support customer or third-party witnessing of valve inspection and testing when required.
  • Ensure all completed jobs have the required documentation before equipment is released or delivered.
  • Follow company quality, safety and PPE requirements at all times.
  • Support technical demonstrations, onsite work and customer projects when required.
  • Perform other production, engineering and quality-related duties assigned by Management.

Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing or related Engineering field. Candidates should preferably have experience with industrial valves, pressure testing, valve servicing or test equipment. Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, API standards, calibration, inspection or audit documentation will be an advantage. Strong documentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are important.

Preferred Candidate: We especially welcome candidates who are comfortable with both hands-on engineering work and paperwork. The person should be organized, detail-oriented and able to prepare documents independently for inspections and audits.
