The posting

Job Summary

You will plan, coordinate, and execute quality assurance and control for water treatment projects, ensuring products meet contract specifications. You will liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors, conduct inspections, maintain records, and uphold safety and legal standards in construction and water treatment system.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and QA/QC procedures.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, method statements, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), checklists, inspection forms, and quality records.
  • Coordinate inspection and testing activities with the client, consultant, project team, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Monitor the quality of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process works.
  • Inspect incoming materials, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with approved specifications and material submittals.
  • Verify Material Test Certificates (MTC), certificates of conformity, calibration certificates, and other quality documentation.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are properly stored, handled, and protected on site.
  • Monitor and document testing activities, including pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, leak testing, functional testing, and equipment testing.
  • Ensure proper pipe alignment, welding, jointing, supports, pressure testing, flushing, and cleaning.
  • Coordinate and monitor welding inspection, including WPS/PQR, welder qualifications, visual inspection, and NDT where applicable.
  • Ensure testing instruments and measuring equipment are properly calibrated and certified.
  • Identify, record, and control non-conformances (NCR).
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions and verify effective close-out of NCRs.
  • Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Participate in quality audits and internal inspections.
  • Maintain proper QA/QC documentation and records throughout the project.
  • Coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing, and functional testing.
  • Assist in preparation of commissioning dossiers and handover documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain the Quality/Handover Dossier, including inspection records, test reports, certificates, approved drawings, and as-built documentation.
  • Support final inspection and project handover to the client/consultant.
