QC Analyst (1 years contract)

About the Company: Our client is a Swiss pharmaceutical based corporation that provides solutions to address the evolving needs of patients worldwide. Their main discoveries are development, manufacture and marketing of prescription and generic pharmaceutical products and eye care products.

Role Overview: In this role, you will execute assigned tasks in the quality control laboratory in accordance with Current Good Practice (cGxP) regulations. Performance of laboratory specific activities such as analyses, maintenance, calibration and qualification of analytical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational:

  • Sample storage and management
  • Ensure all activities in compliance with cGxP, incl. data integrity
  • Maintain QC Raw Materials laboratory in full Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) compliance.
  • Perform raw material method validation/ verification and routine release testing
  • Perform data entry and review of raw materials packages for batch release
  • Support the shipment of QC samples to 3rd party laboratories
  • Support laboratory activities such as improvement projects and purchasing
  • Support laboratory investigations and root cause finding
  • Prepare and participate in health authority inspections and internal audits
  • Other duties or projects assigned by the Section Manager

Health Safety Environmental (HSE):

  • Comply with all HSE guidelines
  • Detect and report potential accident, risks and propose solutions
  • Responsible for participating in initial training and retraining
  • Orders are processed correctly and quickly with no waiting times due to wrong or delayed order
  • Deadline adherence rate: orders completed on time, all missed deadlines reported in good time, the shortest possible lead time
  • Ensure constant readiness for inspection, no critical complaints from superiors and inspectors
  • Consistently follow the GMP guidelines, as well as the SOPs, no critical irregularities
  • Finding and implementing optimization options to reduce costs

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific / technological background (e.g. Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, or equivalent)
  • At least 2 Years experience in Quality Control (QC) Testing
  • Experience in laboratory operations such as calibration, qualification, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, Laboratory documentation and data review.
  • Strong understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), Current Good Practice (cGxP), data integrity, and quality standards.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
