Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-driven and commercially astute QS cum Project Planner Admin to oversee the financial and timeline performance of our construction projects. You will be responsible for managing project budgets, quantity take-offs, and contract administration, while simultaneously developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking milestones, and ensuring timely delivery of all project phases. Knowledge of Primavera P6 is advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying (Commercial & Cost Control)

  • Cost Estimation & Tendering: Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and tender documentation.
  • Budget Monitoring: Monitor project budgets, evaluate subcontractor claims, and process progress payments.
  • Contract Administration: Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to clients, and manage Variation Orders (VOs).
  • Procurement: Assist with procurement, obtain quotations, and conduct supplier evaluations.

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Project Timelines: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including critical path analysis using planning software (e.g., MS Project or Primavera P6).
  • Milestone Tracking: Collaborate with the site and engineering teams to track project progress against baseline programs.
  • Delay Analysis & Reporting: Identify potential bottlenecks, assess the impact of delays, and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Progress Reporting: Generate regular progress reports detailing project status, financial performance, and timeline adherence for stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity within the local construction or engineering industry.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software and estimating tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills to effectively bridge the gap between contractors, clients, and management.
