The posting

  • Government project
  • Hybrid work arrangement

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer / Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in functional automation, regression testing and quality engineering processes, with a passion for ensuring the reliability of complex, distributed systems.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Work closely with a cross-functional Agile team comprising Software Engineers, Product Managers and Designers to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria and ensure end-to-end quality.
  • Develop, maintain and execute regression test suites in JavaScript or TypeScript using Playwright across React.js frontends and NestJS backends.
  • Build and integrate automated Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, to support continuous testing and rapid feedback.
  • Manage test environments, containerised testing setups and database states, including data dumps and mock data, for test execution and environment resets.
  • Collaborate with government agencies to deliver secure, reliable and high-quality software systems.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, technical-sharing sessions and quality engineering solutioning discussions.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience testing large-scale, highly available software systems built with React.js on the frontend and NestJS on the backend.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for developing automated regression test scripts.
  • Hands-on experience using Playwright for end-to-end web and API regression testing.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to work with database dumps and mock data for environment setup, data validation and database testing.
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Hands-on experience with containerised testing and test-environment management using Docker, Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools.
  • Experience deploying and running test environments on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform. AWS experience is preferred.
  • Experience using observability, monitoring and log-analysis tools such as the ELK Stack, AWS CloudWatch or Splunk.

Good to Have

  • Experience designing, developing and executing performance test suites for HTTP APIs, including load, stress, spike and endurance or soak testing.
  • Hands-on experience using k6 or similar tools, such as Locust or Gatling, deployed on AWS EC2 or integrated into CI/CD pipelines to generate automated API test traffic.
  • Experience managing performance-test data lifecycles, including generating synthetic test data and using database snapshots for setup and environment resets between test runs.
  • Familiarity with analysing system performance metrics, including latency, response time, P95 and P99 percentiles, throughput, error rates, CPU, memory, network usage and file I/O.
  • Understanding of database performance factors such as indexing, connection pooling and database locks.
  • Experience using tools such as Kibana, the ELK Stack, AWS CloudWatch or Container Insights to analyse performance-test results and diagnose system bottlenecks. /Ref: 299

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
