Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC) Engineer

Salary: $4000 - $6000

Job summary:

The QAQC Engineer is responsible for implementing project quality assurance and control activities, perform inspections, coordinate testing, manage quality documentation, and ensure construction work complies with approved standards and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications, monitor critical construction hold points.
  • Monitor workmanship quality, identify non-conforming work, and enforce approved ITPs.
  • Execute approved ITP requirements and coordinate inspection requests with clients and consultants.
  • Inspect delivered materials and equipment upon delivery. Verify compliance with approved material submissions and specifications.
  • Coordinate material testing and approval processes.
  • Coordinate lab tests, field tests, and site commissioning activities. Verify test results against project requirements and maintain complete testing reports
  • Document non-conforming works/materials and issue NCRs.
  • Track corrective actions and verify the formal closure of NCRs and quality observations.
  • Verify site work adheres strictly to approved method statements and quality procedures. Recommend continuous quality and operational process improvements.
  • Maintain complete, traceable inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation
  • Support general project document control requirements.
  • Attend joint inspections with consultants/clients, resolve quality-related comments, and follow up promptly on pending inspection approvals.
  • Audit subcontractor workmanship, verify supplier quality documents, and report issues to management.
  • Support internal/external quality audits by preparing required documentation and assisting with corrective actions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QAQC performance reports and monitor quality indicators.
  • Conduct all QAQC operations safely in full compliance with project HSE standards.
  • Project Completion and Handover - Compile final quality dossiers, clear punch-list/defect items, and support handover inspections.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of QAQC experience in construction projects.
  • Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous, organised and able to work independently.
  • Able to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
