Quality Control cum Account Executive — Foodservice & HORECA N&E Innovations Pte. Ltd. (ViKANG™) · Full-time, on-site · Innovate 360, Jurong

Role Description

This is a dual role for someone who is equally at home in a microbiology lab and in a client meeting. You'll run quality control testing in our in-house laboratory, validating the antimicrobial performance, food safety and shelf life of our ViKANG™ products, while looking after a book of foodservice and HORECA customers in Singapore (restaurants, hotels, caterers and institutional kitchens).

In the lab, you'll run antimicrobial efficacy, challenge and shelf-life studies (accelerated and real-time), carry out bioburden and sterility testing to BS EN 14683 and ISO 11737-1, and conduct microbiological and pathogen testing (TVC, yeast and mould, Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria). You'll keep accurate lab records and test reports, and your results will feed directly into product development, product claims and the conversations you have with customers.

On the account side, you'll be the main point of contact for your customers, keeping in regular touch, handling orders and coordinating quotations, delivery and after-sales support with our internal team. When a customer raises a quality concern, you'll help investigate and resolve it, using your lab knowledge to explain findings and follow through until the issue is closed. You'll also grow existing accounts and bring in new customers to meet sales targets, and represent the company at customer meetings and industry events.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Diploma or degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology or a related field
  • Hands-on microbiology lab experience, including efficacy, challenge or shelf-life testing and pathogen testing
  • Proven sales experience with the ability to prospect, pitch, and close deals, preferably in food packaging, ingredients, or related B2B solutions.
  • Ability to explain technical results and sustainability benefits in clear business terms to procurement teams, chefs and F&B managers
  • Comfortable with quotations, cost sheets, proposals and CRM/pipeline tools
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (you'll work with Chinese-speaking clients and partners across SG and MY)
  • Organised and self-driven, able to balance lab schedules with account commitments and meet targets in a fast-paced environment

Bonus points

  • Familiarity with ISO / BS EN testing standards or lab quality systems
  • Experience selling sustainable, eco-certified or green-labelled products
  • Existing relationships in Singapore or Malaysia hospitality procurement
  • Bahasa Malaysia
