Key Responsibilities

  • Develop performance test scripts and load profiles covering benchmark, stress, endurance, and volume testing.
  • Execute performance testing to establish baselines, identify bottlenecks, and validate performance and scalability targets.
  • Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to analyse results, optimise system performance, and verify improvements.
  • Provision, configure, and manage performance testing environments throughout each testing cycle.
  • Build and maintain automated test frameworks, UI tests, and API tests from the first sprint.
  • Execute system, integration, and regression testing in line with the Test Lead’s standards.
  • Review test artefacts against user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Use AI tools to generate test scenarios and scripts, validating outputs before implementation.
  • Maintain test cases, execution records, and defects in JIRA.
  • Present performance results, bottlenecks, risks, and release-readiness assessments to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, infrastructure, security, and testing teams, supporting cross-coverage across performance testing and automation.

Key Requirements

  • 3 years of Software QA experience, including hands-on experience in performance engineering for enterprise web applications.
  • Hands-on experience in test automation, including building frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong experience with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or equivalent performance testing tools.
  • Hands-on UI automation using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent, plus API test automation.
  • Experience with application profiling and bottleneck analysis across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data validation, backend verification, and performance investigation.
  • Proficiency in JIRA for test management, execution tracking, and defect management.
  • Strong understanding of system, integration, regression, and performance testing within Agile delivery.
  • Ability to analyse results, troubleshoot issues, and validate performance improvements through subsequent test cycles.
  • Experience managing test environments and coordinating testing within release schedules.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted test generation and the ability to validate generated outputs.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with hands-on capability across performance engineering and automation.

Desirable

  • Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools.
  • Familiarity with Singapore Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) or other Singapore Government cloud platforms.
  • Exposure to enforcement, regulatory, licensing, or case management systems.
