Key Responsibilities

1) Pre-Contract & Tendering

  • Review ITT, drawings, specifications, geotechnical data, and contract conditions to identify pricing and commercial risks.
  • Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost plans covering labour, plant, materials, prelims, overheads, and profit.
  • Develop pricing models, risk registers, clarifications, and alternative proposals with quantified cost/time impacts.
  • Support bid reviews and secure internal approvals for price and terms.

2) Procurement & Subcontractor Management

  • Prepare and negotiate RFQs, bid comparisons, LOIs, and subcontracts with defined scope, milestones, and payment terms.
  • Ensure flow-down of contract obligations, warranties, and insurances.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, variations, and procurement schedules.

3) Contract Administration

  • Interpret and administer contract conditions (PSSCOC, SIA, FIDIC, or bespoke).
  • Support change management, claims, and contractual correspondence.

4) Progress Measurement & Payments

  • Agree on measurement rules with clients/engineers.
  • Prepare monthly valuations and payment applications with supporting documentation.
  • Certify subcontractor claims, including retentions, set-offs, and contra-charges.

5) Project Execution & Site Management

  • Plan and oversee daily site activities, ensuring safe, timely, and quality delivery.
  • Supervise site crews and subcontractors, maintaining productivity, safety, and accountability.
  • Apply geotechnical risk management to identify and mitigate site challenges.

6) Cost & Resource Optimization

  • Drive value engineering and efficient resource planning.
  • Monitor procurement alignment and minimize scrap/waste.

7) Governance, HSEQ & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with company approval matrices, audit requirements, and statutory obligations.
  • Support insurance notifications, guarantees, and securities.
  • Maintain progress reports, QA/QC records, claims, and risk assessments.
  • Uphold strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.

This role will be required to spend most of the time on construction sites and candidates must be comfortable working outdoors.

You will need:

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent
  • At least 5-6 years of relevant working experience from main contractor or tendering role.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
