Job Responsibilities: • Quantity Surveyor responsible for preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and budgets for construction projects. • Manage tendering processes, including preparing tender documents and evaluating bids. • Monitor project costs and track variations to ensure the project within budget.
• Conduct site measurements and valuations for interim payments and final accounts. • Liaise with contractors, clients, and consultants on cost-related issues.
• Negotiating with suppliers, and handling progress claims. • Assist in contract administration, including reviewing contracts and managing claims.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support project and contract management.
Requirements: • Minimum 1-2 years of QS experience in main contractor company handling large scale buildings projects. • Able to communicate effectively to liaise with client, sub-contractors and consultants. • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building/Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University. • Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD with the ability to learn new specialist software.
• Knowledgeable in both public and private Conditions of Contract used in Singapore.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with a collaborative team approach.
• Detail-oriented and methodical in work execution.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to read, understand, execute work based on construction drawings • Good technical knowledge of measurement, cost estimating, & construction technology.
