Job Description
- Prepare and review project quotations, cost estimates, and tender submissions.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) and quantity take-offs from drawings.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Evaluate and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare cost comparisons and assist in procurement.
- Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the project.
- Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
- Assist with contract administration and payment certification.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Attend site meetings and site inspections when required.
- Maintain proper records of contracts, costs, claims, and variations.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in construction, renovation, building, civil engineering, or related industries.
- Familiar with quantity take-off, costing, tendering, and contract administration.
- Able to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Experience with variation claims, progress claims, and final accounts is an advantage.
