Cost Estimation: •Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical -ACMV and Electrical projects; •Analyze and evaluate project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and associated costs;
Quantity Take-off •Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labour required for Mechanical -ACMV and Electrical works; •Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive quantity assessments;
Budgeting and Cost-control •Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle; •Monitor and report on cost variations, providing recommendations for cost-saving measures;
Tendering and Procurement •Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in the procurement process; •Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitiveness and adherence to project requirements;
Contract Administration •Administer and manage contracts related to ACMV and Electrical works, including variations and claims; •Monitor contractual compliance and resolve any disputes that may arise during the project;
Value Engineering •Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality; •Work closely with design and construction teams to implement value engineering recommendations;
Risk Management •Identify and assess potential risks related to cost and contract issues; •Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success;
Cost Reporting •Generate regular cost reports to keep stakeholders informed of project financial status; •Provide analysis and recommendations based on cost reporting data;
Collaboration •Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders; •Participate in project meetings and contribute to the overall success of the project;
Regulatory Compliance •Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in ACMV and Electrical construction; •Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices;
Ad-Hoc •Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work; •Other Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the HOD.
Qualifications & Experience: • Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying / Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
• Minimum 5 years of related working experiences
• Good working knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical.
• Organizational skill with attention to detail, adaptable and flexible.
• Good communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work well in a team, independently and demonstrate initiative and commitment.
