The posting

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain enterprise Linux platforms, with primary focus on RHEL-based infrastructure across multiple environments.
  • Support the availability and operational health of Red Hat OpenShift clusters and containerized workloads.
  • Troubleshoot issues affecting OpenShift nodes, pods, deployments, services, networking, and persistent storage.
  • Perform Linux OS patching, upgrades, package management, and configuration activities in accordance with infrastructure standards.
  • Manage Red Hat Satellite for system registration, repository management, patch deployment, and Linux lifecycle operations.
  • Create and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate routine Linux administration, configuration, and operational activities.
  • Administer Linux storage components including LVM, filesystems, partitions, and disk resources.
  • Support enterprise virtual machines and infrastructure hosted on VMware environments.
  • Monitor Linux and OpenShift environments for availability, capacity, resource utilization, and performance issues.
  • Perform Linux troubleshooting involving kernel, CPU, memory, filesystem, networking, and system services.
  • Apply security hardening practices and assist with vulnerability remediation and compliance-related activities.
  • Support infrastructure changes, platform upgrades, migrations, and production incident resolution.
  • Work with application, network, storage, security, and other infrastructure teams to resolve complex platform issues.
  • Use Shell/Python scripting where required to simplify administration and repetitive operational tasks.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Linux/RHEL administration, infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux in enterprise environments.
  • Production experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
  • Good working experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite and enterprise Linux patch/lifecycle management.
  • Experience in RHEL patching, upgrades, package management, and system hardening.
  • Hands-on experience with LVM, filesystem and disk administration.
  • Experience supporting VMware-based virtual infrastructure.
  • Strong troubleshooting capability across Linux, OpenShift/Kubernetes, networking, storage, and system services.
  • Experience in Docker or other container technologies.
  • Experience in Shell or Python scripting.
  • Experience with NFS, DNS, FTP, and DHCP services in enterprise Linux environments.
  • Experience working in production environments with incident, change, and problem management processes.
