  • Build and maintain relationships with shipyards, boatbuilders, naval architects, consultants, owners and operators.
  • Manage the sales process from initial enquiry and technical discussion through quotation, negotiation and contract award.
  • Work with engineering teams to recommend suitable waterjet sizes, engines, driveline configurations and control systems.
  • Review vessel specifications, operating profiles and performance requirements.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals that meet customer requirements.
  • Support distributors and regional partners with sales development, product knowledge and customer engagement.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts and market updates.
  • Monitor competitor activity, vessel-building trends and developments within the assigned markets.
  • Coordinate internally with Engineering, Production, Service, Parts and Finance teams.
  • Support project handover, delivery, commissioning and after-sales requirements.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences and other industry events.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned region to meet customers and support projects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Marine, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, Naval Architecture, Maritime Studies or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of technical sales or business-development experience within the marine industry.
  • Experience selling marine propulsion systems, engines, waterjets, gearboxes, control systems or other vessel equipment would be advantageous.
  • Strong network among shipyards, boatbuilders, naval architects, vessel owners or operators.
  • Good understanding of vessel propulsion, engine matching and marine operational requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage project-based and consultative sales cycles.
  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
