Job Scope:
- Work closely with the design curators in processing acquisitions of artefacts from offers of donations and purchases.
- Attending artefact viewings and interviewing potential lenders and donors
- Conducting research on topics related to modern and contemporary design and designers in Singapore,
- Coordinating with the Collections team on arranging and transporting acquisitions to and from NMS and HCC, where necessary.
- Assist in research for the content development of upcoming design exhibition.
- Support the design curators with various administrative duties, such as donor liaisons, acquisition and cataloguing processes and paperwork such as Deed of Gift, object documentation, as well as compiling of meeting minutes.
Working Arrangement: Mon to Fri: 9am-6.30pm Location: Bencoolen Station Duration: 1 Year (9/12/2026-8/12/2027) Salary: $3500-3700/Month
Requirements:
- Interest in design history, possess strong research, writing and organisational skills and able to work independently and be timely with deliverables.
- A background in design, art history or related research/museum experience will be advantageous.
- Relevant degree in the liberal arts and humanities, preferably related to the field of art and design (e.g. art history, design history, sociology).
