The posting

The Centre for Health, Culture, and Society (CHCS) at NTU CoHASS is a new interdisciplinary and cross-sector research hub dedicated to understanding health and sickness through the concept of the lifeworld — the social, cultural, and historical horizons within which patients, practitioners, and caregivers make sense of their experiences. Working with faculty across all four CoHASS Schools and established partnerships with major Singapore hospitals and arts organisations, the Centre advances research across five thematic strands: Digital Health, Medical Pluralism, Arts for Health, Healthcare Systems, and Disability Studies.

We are seeking a Research Fellow to conduct interdisciplinary research within one or more of the Centre's thematic strands, engage with cross-sector partners, assist with grant development, contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes, and support the Centre's wider activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and publish interdisciplinary research within the Centre's thematic strands.
  • Engage with hospital, arts, and community partners on cross-sector research projects.
  • Assist with grant applications to various funding bodies.
  • Contribute to teaching on the MA in Health, Culture, and Society.
  • Mentor student researchers and support the Centre's PPI initiatives.
  • Contribute to the Centre's seminars, events, publications programme, and outreach activities.

Job Requirements:

  • PhD's degree in a relevant humanities or social sciences discipline.
  • Academic expertise in health, culture, and/or society; commitment to the lifeworld approach.
  • Track record of independent research and scholarly outputs.
  • Experience or aptitude for interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage academic and non-academic audiences.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.

We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
