The posting

Resident Engineer (RE) / Resident Technical Officer (RTO) - 28 months contract

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, design, and supervision efforts by collaborating with Professional Engineers, regulatory authorities, and contractors to resolve site issues and ensure timely project completion
  • Verify site conditions against approved shop drawings and construction drawings to maintain project accuracy
  • Implement and sustain site supervision quality and safety assurance systems to uphold standards
  • Produce detailed daily reports on site conditions and progress for clients and consultants
  • Provide on-demand supervision as directed by the consultant team to maintain project oversight
  • Supervise structural, geotechnical, temporary, architectural, and specialist works by identifying and addressing non-conformities in contractor work
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure contractor compliance with health and work safety regulations per MOM requirements
  • Assist consultants and clients in assessing site conditions and situations when requested
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive site documentation including ongoing works records, site meeting minutes, safety records, method statements, shop drawings, and as-built submissions
  • Attend site meetings to communicate progress, issues, and coordinate actions

Required competencies and certifications

  • Valid Resident Engineer (RE) / Resident Technical Officer (RTO) Accreditation Certificate from IES
  • Strong knowledge of the Building Control Act and relevant regulations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and liaise effectively with contractors and consultants
  • Team player mindset
