Resident Technical Officer (Electrical / Instrumentation, Control & Automation)
Job Title: Resident Technical Officer (Electrical / ICA) Location: Kranji, Singapore Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract Contract Duration: Initial 2-year contract, with possible extension (subject to client's approval and project progress). Overall project duration is approximately 4 years.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm
- Saturday: 8.30am – 12.30pm
- Transport pick-up and drop-off provided at Kranji MRT Station.
Probation Period: 6 months Notice Period: 1 month during probation; 2 months after confirmation.
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out duties and responsibilities as a Qualified Site Supervisor (RTO) in accordance with the Building Control Act.
- Assist the Resident Engineer (RE) in supervising site works and ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved drawings and relevant codes.
- Review design calculations and drawings at site in coordination with the RE.
- Monitor construction progress and provide regular site progress updates.
- Conduct inspections and maintain proper documentation of inspection and testing activities in accordance with BCA requirements.
- Coordinate and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Inspect and verify completed works for the RE's recommendation on contractor progress payments.
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance with relevant regulatory and project requirements.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Must be registered as an RTO with IES/JAC and meet applicable BCA registration requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant site supervision experience, preferably in water or wastewater treatment plant projects.
- Relevant experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) works.
- Familiarity with construction regulations, site inspection procedures and quality assurance requirements.
- Self-motivated, proactive, diligent and able to work independently and collaboratively with project teams.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
