The posting
- Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Building Control Act as the Qualified Site Supervisor (RTO) responsible for the supervision of works.
- Work closely with the Resident Engineer (RE) and the project team to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist the RE in reviewing and approving design calculations, drawings, and technical submissions at site.
- Provide proactive and regular site progress updates to the project team.
- Ensure proper and consistent documentation of inspections, tests, and site activities in accordance with BCA requirements and applicable regulations.
- Arrange, coordinate, and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Conduct site inspections and verify and certify the value of completed works for the RE's recommendation and processing of the contractor's progress payments.
- Monitor the quality and progress of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation works and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate closely with contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to resolve site issues and ensure smooth project execution.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in site supervision, preferably within water or wastewater treatment plant projects.
- Must be a BCA-registered Resident Technical Officer (RTO) and accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of IES and ACES.
- Relevant experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) works will be highly advantageous.
- Experience with FAT, SAT, inspection, testing, commissioning, and technical documentation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of relevant Singapore codes, regulations, and site safety requirements.
- A self-starter who is proactive, diligent, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
