Job Summary

Join our Retail Banking team in Singapore as a Retail Banking Product Manager, driving the development, management, and enhancement of retail banking products focused on customer needs, business growth, and product performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage retail banking products and services including deposits, payment and remittance services, cards, foreign exchange, digital banking, and personal banking solutions to meet customer needs and business goals
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and opportunities for new product development
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle by planning, developing, implementing, enhancing, and monitoring product performance
  • Develop detailed product proposals, business cases, and product specifications for internal review and approval
  • Coordinate product launches, system enhancements, process improvements, and other initiatives by collaborating with internal stakeholders across departments
  • Monitor product performance metrics such as customer adoption and revenue, and recommend improvements to optimize results
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure products and processes comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Review and enhance product processes, customer journeys, and service delivery to improve customer experience and operational efficiency
  • Support marketing and business development efforts including product campaigns, customer acquisition, and cross-selling opportunities
  • Prepare regular reports on product performance, market updates, and management presentations
  • Perform additional product management and business development tasks as assigned

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline
  • 3–5 years of experience in retail banking, product management, product development, business planning, or related functions within a bank or financial institution
  • Experience in retail banking product areas such as deposits, cards, payments, remittance, foreign exchange, digital banking, personal lending, or wealth management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate market and customer insights into actionable product initiatives
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills to work effectively across multiple departments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to prepare clear business proposals and management presentations
  • Experience working in a Chinese bank or familiarity with the Chinese banking environment
  • Mandarin language skills for communication with Chinese-speaking stakeholders when required
