Dymon Asia Capital is a multi-strategy investment management firm with a strong focus on Asia. Risk Analytics builds the analytical systems, data foundations and technology that support the firm's risk and investment decisions.

Role Overview

A hands-on role based in Singapore, focused on reliable risk production and the operation and improvement of the supporting platform. Strong engineering practices, documentation and data controls underpin the delivery of accurate and timely risk analytics.

Ownership of assigned production processes and development projects, with guidance and review from experienced colleagues. The remit includes operational automation, platform support and progressive contributions to data pipelines and analytical tools.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Run and monitor daily risk production processes, checking the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of outputs and following up on exceptions.
  2. Investigate production issues, coordinate escalation and resolution, and implement preventative improvements with the wider team.
  3. Automate recurring operational tasks and improve monitoring, alerting and workflow reliability.
  4. Support and enhance the infrastructure and platform underpinning risk analytics, including batch workflows, deployment processes and development environments.
  5. Contribute to maintainable code, automated testing and reliable releases, following established engineering and access-control practices.
  6. Maintain runbooks, technical documentation, change records and support procedures; strengthen knowledge sharing, cross-cover and operational continuity.
  7. Maintain and improve risk data pipelines, with validation, reconciliation and investigation of data quality issues.
  8. Contribute to analytical tools and calculation enhancements under review, building financial and modeling knowledge through practical delivery.

Requirements

  1. A degree in a relevant quantitative or technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  2. Hands-on experience using Python and SQL to develop, automate or support data and analytical workflows; relevant internships and substantial project work are valuable.
  3. Evidence of taking ownership of assigned projects or deliverables, following work from requirements through implementation, testing, documentation and handover, with appropriate guidance and escalation.
  4. Working knowledge of software development practices, including version control, modular code, testing and relational data modeling.
  5. Ability to troubleshoot data and system issues methodically. Familiarity with scheduling, logging, monitoring and deployment practices is an advantage.
  6. A basic understanding of financial instruments and risk concepts, with a willingness to develop deeper analytical and domain knowledge.

Personal Attributes

  1. Strong sense of ownership, accountability and attention to detail, with dependable follow-through on assigned work.
  2. Pragmatic problem-solving that balances care, operational urgency and delivery.
  3. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-critical environment, with sound judgment on when to seek support or escalate.
  4. Clear communication of issues, progress and technical decisions, together with a collaborative approach to review and knowledge sharing.
  5. Proactive learning and thoughtful use of approved AI tools, with verification of outputs and appropriate handling of confidential data.

Why Join

  1. Direct contribution to the reliability of the firm's risk analytics and production systems.
  2. Practical development experience across operations, platform engineering and data workflows.
  3. Guidance from experienced colleagues and opportunities to grow into broader technical and analytical ownership.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
