The posting

Reporting to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you shall be responsible for consistently providing exceptionally well-cleaned rooms to each guest upon arrival and throughout the guest stay in accordance to the Standard Operating Procedures of the Hotel, by ensuring that all service areas and equipment used are cleaned and maintained at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all priority rooms are to be cleaned first
  • Report any discrepancies in room status to Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Report to Housekeeping Supervisor on any shortage of linen, equipment or other supplies
  • Check all soft appliances i.e. lamps, kettles, irons and switches in all guestrooms
  • Change all bed linen in all occupied and check/out rooms on a daily basis
  • Check mattress protector and duvet for stains and change them if necessary
  • Change all used towels in bathrooms daily. Damaged or stained items are to be taken to the linen room
  • Replenish all guest supplies in all rooms on a daily basis
  • Ensure that all China, glassware, kettles and irons are clean and free of stains/marks
  • Ensure all spare pillows are clean and ironing boards are in good working condition at all times
  • Ensure cleanliness of all air-vents in bedrooms, wardrobes and bathrooms
  • Remove black marks on walls and furniture
  • Report any carpet stains or wet carpet immediately to facilitate faster service in drying or cleaning carpet
  • Report any lost-&-found items left in guest rooms to Housekeeping Supervisor in accordance to the standard operating procedures
  • Report to the Housekeeping Supervisor for any laundry pick up in the guest rooms
  • Change vacuum cleaner bag when necessary and ensure the maintenance of vacuum cleaners, placing them inside the pantry at the end of the shift
  • Report to Housekeeping Supervisor any room that may not be cleaned and provide reason
  • Keep buckets, chemicals and cleaning items inside the pantry at the end of the shift
  • Report any unusual or suspicious activities at your section immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties from time to time
