SALES MANAGER (Tourism Industry)
About the Role
We are seeking a high-performing, results-driven
Sales Manager
with deep roots in the travel and tourism sector to lead our sales team and drive business growth. You will own end-to-end sales strategies, nurture key client partnerships, and steer our revenue expansion — bringing proven expertise built over more than a decade in tourism sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive sales strategies to acquire new corporate, leisure, and institutional clients, maximise revenue, and expand market share across Singapore and regional markets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals — setting targets, monitoring performance, delivering coaching, and fostering a high-accountability, customer-first culture.
- Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with high-value clients, travel partners, industry stakeholders, and suppliers; negotiate contracts and close deals with confidence.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities and adapt sales approaches accordingly.
- Prepare detailed sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports; present strategic updates to senior management regularly.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales initiatives with brand positioning and service delivery standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, partners, and internal teams across both English and Chinese markets — serving as a bridge between diverse stakeholder groups.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on sales experience specifically within the tourism, travel, hospitality, or related sectors — with at least 4 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese; able to conduct business, present, and draft professional correspondence in both languages with confidence.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets, growing revenue, and managing key accounts in the tourism industry.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop sales teams; strong decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Deep understanding of tourism products, distribution channels, and market dynamics in Singapore and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients, attend industry events, and develop partnerships.
- Degree in Business, Tourism & Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
