About Strive Math

Strive Math is an online coding and mathematics school for students aged 8 to 16. We make learning joyful and meaningful through engaging math, coding and custom STEM courses. We are a remote-first, well-funded startup backed by Y Combinator and early investors in Spotify and Facebook.

The role

You will turn inbound leads into paying customers and help existing families get lasting value from Strive. Your responsibilities include:

• Understand each child’s mathematics level and goals, and recommend the right mathematics or coding course.

• Call parents in English or Mandarin and explain how Strive can support their child.

• Follow up with prospective and existing customers through WhatsApp and email.

• Manage the sales pipeline using Airtable and Notion.

• Build strong relationships with parents, gather feedback and identify ways to improve our service and sales funnel.

• Run referral initiatives and support renewals, payment dates and refund processes.

• Coordinate teacher and student schedules and maintain accurate customer accounts.

• Teach at least one mathematics class each week so you can advise families from direct experience.

• Create helpful content for parents in English and Chinese, including content for Mandarin-speaking parent communities.

• Support marketing and growth campaigns and events, including social media, copywriting, simple design and project coordination.

Requirements

• Confident and persuasive communicator who enjoys building relationships and speaking with customers by phone.

• Excellent English and conversational Mandarin, with the ability to read and write simple Chinese. These language skills are required because the role regularly supports English- and Mandarin-speaking parents.

• Strong mathematics background and confidence explaining mathematics concepts to parents and students.

• Available to work Singapore hours (GMT+8), mainly weekday evenings and weekends.

• Excellent listening, organisation and attention to detail; you will manage dozens of leads and customer accounts.

• Able to communicate clearly and persuasively in writing and verbally.

• Positive learning mindset, patience and persistence, including when facing rejection or setbacks.

• Adaptable in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Passionate about education and empowering students.

Former teachers and career-switchers are warmly welcome.

Nice to have

• Sales experience where parents are the customers.

• Mathematics teaching or tutoring experience.

• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE syllabus (PSLE or O-Levels), Singapore Math, IB or IGCSE.

• Technology skills; coding experience is an advantage.

• Marketing or growth skills such as design, copywriting or social media.

• Experience creating Chinese-language content for parent communities.

• Entrepreneurial experience, including a startup or side project.

Why join Strive

• Grow with a passionate, diverse, international team committed to joyful learning and meaningful work.

• Bring your ideas to life in a small, non-hierarchical team.

• Join a team committed to excellence, learning from mistakes and improving together.

• Help shape a new approach to education that teaches mathematics through code.

Work arrangement

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, including at least one mathematics class taught each week. Regular part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate. The role is remote, but you must reliably cover Singapore weekday evenings and weekends and provide your own reliable laptop, internet connection and backup power.

Salary

S$1,000 to S$4,000 per month.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
