Role Summary

As Sales and Business Development Executive, you will help Websparks grow revenue by generating, following up and converting leads into signed projects. Reporting to the Sales and Business Development Manager, you will manage your own pipeline of smaller opportunities and accounts, support larger pursuits and tender submissions, and ensure no lead or proposal goes without follow-up.

Sales & Deal Closing

• Pursue and close new business opportunities, particularly small to mid-sized projects, quotations and retainer renewals, with guidance from the Manager on larger deals.

• Support the Manager in negotiations, preparing pricing options, revised quotations and commercial documents as deals progress.

Lead Management & Follow-Up

• Respond to all inbound enquiries promptly and professionally, and carry out first-level qualification on budget, timeline, decisionmaker and fit before escalating to the Manager.

• Follow up actively and consistently on every assigned lead, proposal, quotation and tender until it is won, lost or formally closed, logging each touchpoint and next action.

• Research and prospect new accounts across government, healthcare, education and enterprise sectors to build a steady flow of qualified opportunities.

Tender & Proposal Submissions

• Monitor tender portals daily, flag relevant opportunities, and maintain the tender calendar and deadline tracker.

• Prepare proposal and tender documents, including compliance checklists, company credentials, case studies, forms and pricing schedules, under the Manager's direction.

• Coordinate input from team members to meet submission deadlines.

• Ensure every submission is complete, compliant and submitted on time, and follow up with clients and procurement on clarifications and outcomes.

• Maintain and update the library of reusable proposal content, templates and credentials.

Presentations & Client Engagement

• Prepare presentation decks, demo materials and meeting briefs for client pitches and tender clarification sessions.

• Deliver presentations and solution walkthroughs for smaller accounts, and co-present with the Manager on larger pursuits.

• Attend client meetings and discovery sessions, capture requirements accurately and prepare meeting notes and action items.

• Build and maintain relationships with client contacts within assigned accounts.

Handover & Account Servicing

• Ensure a smooth handover to the Project Team once a project is awarded, with complete documentation of scope, commitments and client contacts.

• Service assigned accounts, track renewal dates for maintenance and retainer contracts, and flag upsell and cross-sell opportunities to the Manager.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
