Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated, customer-oriented Sales Executive to join our handmade curtain manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, promoting our curtain products, and achieving sales targets.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, a passion for interior design and home furnishings, and the ability to understand customers’ needs and recommend suitable curtain solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with homeowners, interior designers, architects, contractors, hotels, and property developers.
  • Promote the company’s handmade curtains, custom-made curtains, fabrics, blinds, and related window furnishings.
  • Generate sales leads through networking, referrals, showroom visits, telephone calls, and online channels.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales presentations for customers.
  • Follow up on enquiries and convert potential customers into confirmed orders.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Understand customers’ requirements, preferences, budgets, and design expectations.
  • Recommend suitable curtain fabrics, colours, styles, designs, and finishing options.
  • Maintain good relationships with existing customers and encourage repeat business.
  • Provide professional customer service before, during, and after sales.
  • Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.

3. Order Coordination

  • Coordinate with the production team to ensure customer orders meet the agreed specifications and delivery schedules.
  • Liaise with measurement and installation teams to arrange site visits, measurements, deliveries, and installations.
  • Ensure accurate communication of fabric selections, curtain dimensions, stitching details, accessories, and special requirements.
  • Monitor order progress and keep customers informed of production and delivery updates.
  • Work closely with internal departments to resolve order-related issues.

4. Market Research & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer preferences, and pricing.
  • Identify potential market segments and opportunities to grow the company’s customer base.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer enquiries, quotations, sales orders, and follow-up activities.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates on sales performance and business opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Business, Marketing, Sales, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales, preferably in curtains, textiles, furniture, interior design, or home furnishings.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused, proactive, and results-oriented.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer enquiries and orders.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and sales documentation.
  • Willingness to meet customers, attend site visits, and develop new business relationships.
  • Knowledge of curtain fabrics, measurements, customisation, and installation is an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Monthly sales revenue and achievement of sales targets.
  • Number of new customers and business accounts acquired.
  • Conversion rate of enquiries and quotations into confirmed orders.
  • Repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Accuracy of sales orders and coordination with the production team.
  • Timeliness of customer follow-ups and payments collection, where applicable.
