The posting

Our Client is looking for a Sales & Key Accounts Manager to drive the growth of its industrial water and wastewater business in Singapore and the region.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, identifying upcoming industrial projects, and working closely with the engineering team to develop suitable technical and commercial solutions.

The role will suit a commercially driven sales professional with experience in B2B industrial sales, project sales or key account management, particularly within sectors such as water and wastewater, environmental engineering, engineering services or process industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing key customers.
  • Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders across engineering, facilities, utilities, maintenance, EHS, procurement and management functions.
  • Understand customer requirements and identify opportunities for their solutions.
  • Develop opportunities within key industries where they're expanding its business.
  • Build relationships with consultants, EPC contractors, facility management companies and other relevant industry partners.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to develop suitable technical solutions and commercial proposals.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals to customers.
  • Follow up on quotations, tenders and opportunities through to contract award.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with customers.
  • Maintain an updated sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts.
  • Identify upcoming industrial projects, plant expansions and market opportunities.
  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, exhibitions and industry events.
  • Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Contribute to the growth of key accounts and development of new industrial customers.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in sales, business development or key account management.
  • Experience selling technical solutions, equipment, engineering services or projects to industrial customers.
  • Experience in water, wastewater, environmental engineering, process equipment, chemicals, EPC or industrial services will be advantageous.
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong business development skills and the ability to identify and develop new customer opportunities.
  • Ability to manage longer sales cycles and follow up on opportunities systematically.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and customer accounts.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel within the region when required.
  • Existing experience or network within Singapore's industrial sector will be an advantage.
