About the Role

We are seeking a commercially driven Spare Parts Sales Manager to develop and expand sales of marine spare parts to shipowners, ship managers, shipyards and offshore operators.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing existing customer accounts and driving revenue growth through the supply of marine machinery components, replacement parts and aftermarket solutions.

This role requires a strong understanding of the marine industry, excellent customer relationship management skills and the ability to identify customers' technical requirements and provide suitable spare parts solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive marine spare parts sales and achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, ship chandlers and offshore operators.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with technical superintendents, fleet managers, procurement managers and purchasing teams.
  • Manage existing customer accounts and generate repeat business through proactive account management.
  • Handle customer enquiries, identify required spare parts and coordinate quotations based on technical specifications, drawings and equipment details.
  • Prepare and negotiate quotations, pricing, payment terms and commercial agreements.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and customer engagement to order confirmation and delivery.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed sales orders.
  • Work closely with procurement, suppliers, logistics and technical teams to ensure timely delivery of spare parts.
  • Source spare parts from manufacturers, authorised distributors and alternative suppliers to meet customers' requirements.
  • Develop new accounts and expand market presence across Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling related marine equipment, components and technical services.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing and customer purchasing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records and sales pipeline reports.
  • Participate in customer visits, maritime exhibitions, industry events and networking activities.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in the marine, shipping, offshore or industrial engineering industry.
  • Proven experience in marine spare parts sales, aftermarket sales or marine equipment sales.
  • Established network of shipowners, ship managers, shipyards or marine procurement professionals.
  • Good understanding of marine machinery, engine components, equipment parts and replacement components.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, equipment drawings, part numbers and customer requirements.
  • Strong business development, negotiation and account management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and develop new customer accounts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented and able to work independently.
