Sales Promoter – Roles & Responsibilities

1. Customer Service

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Understand customers’ needs and recommend suitable products.
  • Provide accurate information on product features, benefits, usage, and pricing.
  • Handle customer enquiries and provide appropriate assistance.

2. Sales & Promotion

  • Promote and demonstrate company products to customers.
  • Achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Introduce ongoing promotions, discounts, and special offers.
  • Encourage customers to make purchases through effective product presentation.

3. Product Knowledge

  • Maintain good knowledge of all assigned products.
  • Keep updated on new products, promotions, prices, and competitor activities.
  • Ensure product information provided to customers is accurate.

4. Merchandising

  • Arrange products neatly and attractively on shelves or display areas.
  • Ensure products are properly labelled with prices and promotional information.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor when replenishment is required.
  • Check product expiry dates and report damaged or expired products.

5. Sales Reporting

  • Record daily sales and customer feedback accurately.
  • Submit daily/weekly sales reports to the supervisor.
  • Monitor sales performance against assigned targets.
  • Report market and competitor information when required.

6. Store/Outlet Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and proper presentation of the assigned sales area.
  • Ensure promotional materials and displays are properly maintained.
  • Follow outlet/company rules and operating procedures.

7. Teamwork & Communication

  • Work closely with the Sales Team, Supervisor, and Outlet Staff.
  • Communicate customer feedback and product issues to the relevant department.
  • Support promotional events, roadshows, and other company activities when required.

8. Compliance & Professional Conduct

  • Follow company policies, sales procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and behavior at all times.
  • Handle company products and promotional materials responsibly.
  • Perform other sales-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
