Job Purpose

To promote the company’s products to customers, provide product information, achieve sales targets, and maintain good customer service while representing the company professionally.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Product Promotion

  • Promote and introduce company products to customers.
  • Explain product features, benefits, usage, and prices clearly.
  • Demonstrate products where required.
  • Provide accurate information and answer customer enquiries.
  • Highlight promotions, discounts, and special offers.

2. Sales Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Actively approach customers and identify their needs.
  • Recommend suitable products based on customer requirements.
  • Encourage customers to make purchases.
  • Upsell or cross-sell relevant products where appropriate.

3. Customer Service

  • Provide friendly and professional service to customers.
  • Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and basic complaints professionally.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with customers.
  • Follow up with customers when required.

4. Merchandising & Display

  • Ensure products are properly displayed and well-presented.
  • Maintain product shelves, promotional displays, and point-of-sale materials.
  • Check product prices, labels, and promotional materials.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor when replenishment is required.
  • Ensure the sales area is clean and organized.

5. Stock Management

  • Check stock availability during sales activities.
  • Report damaged, expired, or missing products to the supervisor.
  • Assist with stock counting when required.
  • Follow company procedures for handling and displaying products.

6. Sales Reporting

  • Submit daily or weekly sales reports as required.
  • Record sales activities, customer feedback, and product enquiries.
  • Report stock shortages and customer requests to the supervisor.
  • Provide information on competitors' products and market activities when observed.

7. Promotion & Events

  • Participate in roadshows, exhibitions, promotional campaigns, and company events.
  • Support marketing activities and product launches.
  • Distribute samples, brochures, flyers, or promotional materials where applicable.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively.

8. Compliance & Company Procedures

  • Follow company policies, procedures, and sales guidelines.
  • Ensure product information provided to customers is accurate.
  • Follow workplace safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.

9. Teamwork

  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Warehouse, and other departments.
  • Support colleagues in achieving overall sales objectives.
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

  • Achievement of sales targets.
  • Number of products sold.
  • Customer service quality.
  • Attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

  • Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
  • Previous sales/promoter experience is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, confident, and customer-oriented.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to work on weekends, public holidays, or during promotional events when required.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office or mobile sales-reporting applications is an advantage.
