Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Sales Representative to cover assigned market territories, actively promote and sell our company’s fresh fruits and snack products, conduct regular market research, compile pricing intelligence, and coordinate closely with delivery partners to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. This role requires frequent fieldwork and direct engagement with trade customers and market stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular field visits to assigned trade areas including supermarkets, convenience stores, wet markets, wholesalers, food service outlets, and potential retail partners to develop market presence.
  • Actively pitch, demonstrate, and promote the full range of fresh fruits and packaged snacks to existing and prospective customers to secure new accounts and expand sales channels.
  • Present product offerings emphasizing quality, variety, pricing, and promotional terms to close sales and achieve assigned sales targets.
  • Maintain and nurture long-term business relationships by addressing customer inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring repeat business.
  • Conduct ongoing market surveys to monitor competitor offerings, retail and wholesale prices, product trends, seasonal fluctuations, and promotional activities.
  • Collect, verify, and organize market price data and competitor information; prepare clear and timely summary reports and insights for internal strategy adjustments.
  • Report on market demands, customer preferences, new product opportunities, and emerging business risks or challenges.
  • Collect and confirm customer orders; promptly transmit accurate and complete order details to operations or logistics teams.
  • Serve as primary liaison with delivery drivers; coordinate delivery schedules, routes, loading arrangements, and on-site handovers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Track delivery status and resolve delivery-related issues such as delays, shortages, or quality complaints on-site; maintain proper records of order fulfillment and exceptions.
  • Follow up on payments, outstanding balances, and account receivables as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily sales activities, customer visits, order volumes, market findings, and expense claims; submit reports on schedule.
  • Assist with promotional campaigns, product displays, sampling activities, and trade events as needed.
  • Comply with company policies, safety standards, and food hygiene requirements when handling or presenting fresh produce.
  • Undertake other tasks assigned by the Sales Manager or management team.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or above; degree or diploma in business, marketing, or related fields is a plus.
  • Prior experience in FMCG, fresh produce, food sales, or field sales is preferred; fresh graduates with strong drive are welcome.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse business owners.
  • Basic proficiency in using mobile devices, office software, and spreadsheets for reporting and data entry.
  • Awareness of fresh produce quality standards, seasonality, and food safety basics is beneficial.
  • Willingness and physical fitness to work outdoors and travel extensively across assigned territories.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and target-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented in collecting price data and preparing reports.
  • Honest, reliable, and professional in representing the company.
  • Possession of a valid driving license and own transport is an advantage but not mandatory.
