Product Strategy, Roadmap & Business Case Leadership

  • Define, maintain, and execute the strategic technology roadmap for enterprise Finance, Tax, and Compliance systems, balancing day-to-day operational needs with long-term strategic transformation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize commercial and financial operations. Build compelling ROI-driven business cases, outlining risk reduction and operational efficiency gains to secure executive alignment and funding.
  • Own, prioritize, and refine the product backlog, ensuring technical initiatives, feature enhancements, and technical investments directly connect to measurable commercial outcomes.

Strategic Stakeholder Partnership & Commercial Enablement

  • Act as a strategic partner and internal advisor to regional Finance Directors, Tax Leadership, Commercial operations, and Global Business Services teams.
  • Embed with commercial and market execution teams to analyze daily operational workflows, introducing innovative tech solutions that streamline, automate, and accelerate commercial activity.
  • Translate complex technical, regulatory, and architectural concepts into clear, actionable business insights to align cross-functional leaders and secure consensus.

Global Tax Architecture & Technical Governance

  • Serve as the functional and solution architect lead across global indirect tax, VAT, GST, US Sales Tax, e-invoicing platforms, real-time digital reporting and statutory reporting frameworks.
  • Design standardized core global system templates while building flexible localization frameworks capable of adapting to shifting regulatory and statutory requirements across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
  • Oversee high-level functional designs and system configuration standards within SAP S/4HANA Finance to guarantee architectural integrity, auditability, scalability, and strict regulatory compliance.
  • Direct external System Integrators (SIs), third-party vendors, and technical delivery partners to ensure solution build quality matches product vision and localization standards. Partner with Supply Chain and Commercial teams where tax, pricing, and customs workflows overlap.

skills and experience required Proven track record across full lifecycle SAP implementations, upgrades, and complex enhancements (SAP FICO, General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Pricing Conditions).

Hands-on foundational understanding of global indirect tax, VAT/GST, e-invoicing, and local statutory/compliance requirements.

Ability to sit across both worlds—deeply understanding business processes while architecting high-level technical solutions.
