Contract Period: 1 Jan 2027 to 31 Dec2027 with an option to extend for a further period of 1 year
Working hours (Total 31.75 hours): • Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays & Fridays: 7.30am to 2.30pm, inclusive of 45 minutes lunch break • Wednesdays: 7.30am to 3.00pm, inclusive of 45 minutes lunch break • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays. • Personnel are not required to work during the school holidays; March, June, September and December. • The contract period is 12 months from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027. However, the actual deployment period is 11 months (per year) as no service is required during December. • Charges for March, June, September will be pro-rated based on actual deployment period. No service is required in December, and no charges shall be payable for that month
Scope of services:
Science Department/Laboratory 1. Prepare lesson materials and teaching aids for daily science activities and performance tasks including testing out experimental setups. 2.Maintenance of Science Labs 1 and 2 – cleanliness & safety, educational displays in and outside Science Labs. Keep track of the level Science activities being carried out and return the items and teaching aids to the respective storage space after all classes have completed the activities. 3.Inventory check. Update stock record – check experiment materials, especially after each use. Throw spoilt or damaged items and keep a record. 4. Ad-hoc duties relating to teaching and learning such as assisting teachers during science recess activities, performance tasks, etc.
General Office 5. Provide front-line customer service (deals with walk-ins and phone queries) for School and MOE Kindergarten. 6. Provide administrative support such as contacting parents, printing, scanning, photocopying, filing and simple data entry and data collation. 7.Handling of students who are not feeling well, late comers and early dismissals. 8. Carry out any other administrative duties assigned by School Leaders, Administration Manager and Operation Manager.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
• GCE O-Level or equivalent • Ability to prepare and set up science activities & experiments • Ability to perform administration work, manage laboratory supplies and inventory. • Customer service, communication skills and interpersonal skills • Ability to perform General Office general administration and simple data entry. • Preferably 1 year of experience in laboratory operations within a school setting. • Preferably 1 year of experience in frontline and office administration within a school setting.
