  • Develop high-precision motion trajectory designs, multi-axis path planning, and advanced servo control algorithms (feedforward/feedback, PID) using MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++.
  • Conduct comprehensive motion data modeling, system identification, and vibration/oscillation analysis to implement active structural damping and noise cancellation.
  • Deploy real-time control algorithms on industrial motion platforms (e.g., ACS, Omron Delta Tau, Beckhoff) and synchronize them with high-speed vision and sensor systems.
  • Lead cross-functional system bring-up, modal analysis, and root-cause debugging to transition prototypes into reliable commercial equipment.
  • Partner with tier-1 motion component vendors to evaluate technical roadmaps and optimize hardware performance.

skills & experience required

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Mechatronics, Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years developing motion control architectures for high-precision industrial automation, advanced robotics, or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Deep foundational knowledge of motion theory, state-space modeling, kinematics, and digital signal processing (DSP).
  • Strong hands-on capability with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or C/C++ for algorithm design and motion data modeling.
  • Proven experience deploying controls on real-time operating systems and industrial controllers (ACS, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Omron Delta Tau).
  • Willingness to travel regionally (~25%) for critical product introductions and supplier assessments.
