Job Summary

Responsible for the full set of accounts of the business portfolio.

In charge of multiple sets of accounts forsubsidiary Companies in different business industries.

Primary Responsibilities and Activities

1. Month End Closing and Balance Sheet Management

· Ensure submission of financial statement in timely manner

· Review and ensure journal entries are prepared timely and accurately.

· Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a timely manner with proper supporting and documentation.

· Develop a thorough understanding of the accounting system and tools to maximize team productivity

· Provide appropriate support and back up to other teams as the business requires

2. AP, AR and Cash Management

· Review AP & AR aging to ensure compliance of credit control policy.

· Manage and approve Customer and Vendor Creation.

· Manage and approve Payment and Staff claim.

· Review and Approve Direct Debit Payment Voucher

· Review and approve monthly bank reconciliation

· Review cashflow to arrange inter-company fund transfer and loan drawdown, if require.

· Liaise with banker for loan drawdown and repayment including prepare and handle all documents related to bank.

· Responsible for Intercompany balance and transaction reconciliation

3. Compliance

· Ensure completion of statutory audits, tax filings and other compliance matters within timeline

· Ensure GST, WHT, ECI and Corporate tax are filed timely and accurately.

· Manage and handle corporate tax matters

· Handle authority matters by preparing information related to BCA survey, property tax assessment, IRAS survey, STB hotel statistics and etc.

· Assist with assessment on impact of new accounting standards on local statutory reporting and new adopting of applicable GST regulations

· Assess and forecast company’s revenue against GST registration requirement. Apply for GST registration if require

4. Financial Management System (FMS)

· Manage and granted FMS i.e., ASURIX user access role to the teams

· Allocate and assign GL Account Code from Master file to individual company

· Manage basic setup for each module when require

· Constantly seek process improvements.

· Leading the Project Implementation and UAT related to finance

5. Banking Facilities

· Asist in liaise with corporate secretary to prepare necessary resolution related to banking facilities

· Manage documents and resolutions require for bank offer letter

· Liaise with banker and take necessary action to ensure efficiency of daily operation

6. Others

· Ensures all queries are dealt with promptly and in efficient manner and any unresolved issues are escalated to the respective Head.

· Liaises and co-ordinates with internal and external parties on different aspect of financial related scope, including but not limited to banking, audit, tax and corporate secretarial matters.

· Undertakes any ad hoc responsibilities assigned from time to time.

· Assists in undertaking of internal control and processes. Job Skills and Requirements

1. Degree or Diploma in Finance/ Accountancy.

2. At least 5 years of relevant experience handling full set of accounts.

3. Hands-on experience in handling full sets of accounts

4. In-depth knowledge of computer applications and proficient in accounting software.

5. Initiative, strong planning, administrative organizing capabilities and the ability to meet tight dateline in a fast pace environment.

6. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
