The posting

We are seeking an experienced Senior Animator to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality animations across our game projects. As a Senior Animator, you will bring characters, creatures, and objects to life with exceptional craft and technical precision, while contributing to the growth of the animation team around you.

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality character animations that meet the artistic vision and technical requirements of the project.
  • Collaborate with the art, design, and programming teams to ensure animations integrate seamlessly into the gameplay experience.
  • Implement and iterate on animations within game engines, optimising for performance and technical constraints.
  • Provide guidance and constructive feedback to junior animators, supporting their development.
  • Contribute to the improvement of animation pipelines, tools, and workflows.
  • Stay current with industry trends and animation techniques, bringing new ideas to the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional animation experience in game development or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of character animation work across multiple project types.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard animation software such as Maya or 3ds Max.
  • Solid understanding of animation principles, timing, weight, and character performance.
  • Experience implementing animations in game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across disciplines.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with rigging and skinning.
  • Familiarity with motion capture workflows and cleanup.
  • Experience mentoring or providing feedback to junior team members.
