Job Description
• Attend coordination meetings, site meetings, and discussions with consultants and relevant project stakeholders to address architectural and technical matters.
• Review and study architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documents to identify coordination requirements and potential site issues.
• Coordinate architectural works with consultants and relevant parties to resolve technical, design, and site-related issues in a timely manner.
• Provide practical technical solutions to architectural and coordination issues arising during the construction process.
• Ensure architectural works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.
• Monitor the progress of architectural works and follow up on outstanding issues to ensure that works remain on schedule.
• Identify and highlight any technical, coordination, or site issues that may affect the progress or quality of architectural works.
• Report and provide regular updates to the Project Director/Project Manager on technical issues, site conditions, progress, and any matters requiring further attention.
• Liaise closely with project team members, and relevant parties to ensure effective coordination and timely resolution of architectural issues.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submissions, samples, and other architectural documentation where required.
• Assist in ensuring that architectural works are properly coordinated with structural, and other specialist works to minimize site conflicts and delays.
• Maintain proper records of site observations, technical issues, coordination matters, and follow-up actions.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Director, Project Manager, or management.
Requirements
• Possess an NTC, ITE, Diploma in Architecture, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant architectural experience in a professional practice or construction environment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD drafting; knowledge and experience in BIM technology will be an advantage.
• Experienced in preparing and coordinating architectural submissions to relevant government authorities, as well as tender and construction drawings.
• Good knowledge and understanding of local building regulations, codes, and statutory requirements.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced in conducting BIM clash detection and coordination reviews, as well as carrying out BIM modelling works.
• Able to coordinate architectural drawings and documentation to support the smooth execution of projects.
• Provide support and assistance to the Architectural Manager as required.
