Job Summary

Lead business development and sales efforts for Allianz Trade’s credit insurance products in ASEAN. Manage key partnerships, apply underwriting standards, and drive team performance to achieve growth and profitability targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead local business development activities with brokers, fronters, and banks to generate new business opportunities.
  • Represent and promote Allianz Trade’s credit insurance solutions to drive profitable growth.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key external stakeholders such as regulators and industry bodies, and internal stakeholders including regional offices and other Allianz business units.
  • Manage, engage, and develop the ASEAN sales team to overcome challenges and enhance performance.
  • Resolve business issues through collaborative problem-solving with internal and external partners.
  • Develop and execute the company’s distribution strategy aligned with individual and team sales targets.
  • Apply commercial underwriting standards to maintain portfolio profitability and quality.
  • Achieve assigned personal and team sales targets set by management.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned to support business objectives.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in B2B sales within insurance, banking, or credit management industries; direct trade credit insurance experience is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of building sustainable and profitable business by managing a sales team.
  • Ability to build and leverage an extensive local network to support business growth.
  • Strategic understanding of country-specific and industry dynamics.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to effectively represent Allianz Trade and engage distribution partners.
  • Ability to deliver company services in compliance with rules and guidelines when working with brokers or other distribution partners.
