About the Role
This role owns product strategy and lifecycle management for residential energy storage products in the US market and converts market, customer, and certification requirements into executable product roadmaps and release plans.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own the planning, definition, iteration, and full lifecycle management of the residential energy storage product line for the US market. Develop product plans and release strategies based on market trends, user needs, and technical capabilities.
2. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user-needs assessment. Produce standardized product requirements documents, specifications, feature plans, and product roadmaps.
3. Coordinate research and development, testing, supply chain, and marketing teams throughout requirements, design, development, validation, launch, and post-launch iteration. Maintain project pace and delivery quality.
4. Lead technical solution reviews, feature definition, performance improvement, and cost optimization to improve competitiveness, stability, and user experience.
5. Collect product operating feedback, market issues, and enhancement requests, and drive continuous product improvement and release upgrades.
6. Establish product requirement baselines, release plans, and requirement-change controls so that sources, priorities, acceptance criteria, and owners remain traceable.
7. Monitor US market policy, certification requirements, competitor activity, and feedback from channels and installers. Produce regular market insights and update product plans accordingly.
8. Define launch criteria and release acceptance standards, lead pre-launch reviews, and track post-launch quality, usage, and customer feedback.
Requirements
9. Bachelor's degree or above in new energy, electrical engineering, power electronics, product management, or a related discipline. At least 15 years of energy storage product experience focused on residential applications. Experience launching products in the North American market is preferred.
10. Deep understanding of integrated residential solar-plus-storage systems and grid-connected and off-grid applications. Familiarity with the product logic and technical architecture of BMS, EMS, and PCS inverter systems.
11. Ability to independently plan a product line, break down requirements, lead delivery, and coordinate across teams. Experience taking a product from concept to launch.
12. Familiarity with product certification, safety, and grid-connection standards applicable to the North American market. Able to write product requirements and specifications in English and communicate with North American customers, partners, and international teams.
13. Familiarity with US residential energy storage use cases, installation processes, channel models, and after-sales issue-closure practices.
14. Ability to use data and customer evidence to support product trade-offs, cost targets, and release-priority decisions.
