About the Company

Our client is an established Singapore-based engineering and industrial services organisation operating in regulated and high-risk technical environments. The organisation places strong emphasis on workplace safety, environmental compliance, quality management and operational risk control.

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee workplace safety, fire safety, environmental and quality-related activities, ensuring compliance with Singapore regulations and maintaining effective management systems across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and appointed Fire Safety Manager (FSM), overseeing statutory safety and fire protection requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with Singapore WSH, fire safety and environmental regulations, and provide guidance to operational teams on required controls.
  • Maintain and improve EHS and quality management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections and internal audits, and follow up on identified gaps and corrective actions.
  • Lead or support incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
  • Manage fire safety programmes, emergency preparedness activities, fire drills and related response procedures.
  • Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities on inspections, audits, reporting and compliance matters.
  • Support safety committees, management reporting and organisation-wide safety initiatives, including tracking action items through to closure.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Health & Safety, Ergonomics or a related discipline.
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM Singapore.
  • Registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with SCDF.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant EHS, WSH or safety management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation and workplace safety requirements.
  • Good working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Strong communication, coordination, investigation and reporting skills.
