As part of the Aftermarket Product & Support function, the Senior Engineer, Technical Support plays a key role in helping customers maximize the performance, reliability, and productivity of K&S wire bonding solutions. You will serve as a trusted technical expert, providing regional support to customers and K&S field teams while collaborating closely with global engineering and product teams to solve complex technical challenges and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. This role is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the regional technical expert for K&S wire-bonding products, providing advanced troubleshooting and technical support to customers, Sales, and Field Service teams.
- Deliver technical guidance on product applications, training, processes, and best practices to support customer success and equipment performance.
- Investigate product-related issues, identify root causes, and work closely with product and engineering teams to drive effective solutions and continuous improvement.
- Assess customer needs and recommend product upgrades, coordinating implementation and deployment across the region.
- Create, review, and communicate technical bulletins, alerts, and support documentation to ensure field teams have timely and accurate information.
- Support the introduction of new products by establishing site readiness requirements and ensuring the availability of tools, materials, and technical resources.
- Coordinate and support product retrofit activities, including logistics, documentation, progress tracking, and corrective actions when required.
- Provide hands-on support at customer sites to resolve complex technical issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in an engineering-related discipline.
- At least five years of work experience in the semiconductor assembly manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of wire bonding technologies with process application experience is an advantage.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and able to effectively use diagnostic tools, such as oscilloscopes and encoder alignment tools.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, ideally within semiconductor equipment, electronics, automation, or a related industry.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing and comfortable to travel internationally up to 20-40% of the time to support customers, field teams, product deployments, and business needs across the region.
