JOB PURPOSE

As a core member of the Fundraising Team, you will play a pivotal role in directly contributing to the Society’s fundraising success. Your mission: secure philanthropic support, develop long-term corporate partnerships, and deliver fundraising initiatives that meet targets.

This role is highly results-oriented, focusing on pipeline development, donor stewardship, and end-to-end execution of fundraising projects, with clear accountability for KPIs.

We are looking for a proactive, strategic, and results-driven professional who can identify opportunities, engage donors, and convert relationships into sustained philanthropic support. More importantly, we want someone with the heart to serve the vulnerable and a passion to create real impact in the community. Experienced candidates will have the opportunity to lead projects, guide team members, and shape the team, directly contributing to the Society’s overall fundraising target and the long-term sustainability of our programmes that make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop fundraising opportunities and gift programmes to support the donor journey and organisational fundraising goals.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with corporate donors, grantmakers, volunteers, and stakeholders through networks, CSR programmes and donor engagement initiatives.
  • Track and analyse fundraising performance against targets, maintain accurate donor databases, and prepare reports and updates for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising initiatives, projects and community engagement initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end event management, including invites, volunteer coordination, venue and vendor sourcing, programme development, sponsorship acquisition, logistics, appreciation and post-event follow-up.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, particularly Operations, Global Engagement, Marketing & Communications and Volunteer Management, to drive awareness and support for fundraising initiatives.
  • Contribute to achieving event-specific and overall fundraising targets, including individual KPIs.
  • Manage fundraising resources and support volunteers to drive outreach and fundraising outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully planning and delivering events of varying scales.
  • Proven ability to engage and work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, and volunteers.

Additional Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong event planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, able to perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess performance, adapt strategies, and make informed recommendations on the ground.
  • Adaptable and quick to learn; candidates without prior non-profit experience who demonstrate the ability to acquire and apply new skills are encouraged to apply.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
