The posting

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out testing, fault-finding and validation of generators, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and power distribution systems
  • Commission, service and maintain equipment on project sites
  • Ensure all work meets safety and regulatory requirements
  • Use field experience to suggest product improvements, and help trial new products
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians in sound technical practice
  • Take part in technical discussions with customers and act as the on-site technical expert
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors on component selection and technical problems
  • Lead small project teams from start to completion

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Power Engineering
  • 3–5 years' experience in a relevant industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of generators, energy storage systems and power distribution equipment
  • Experience in field service, commissioning or project delivery is an advantage
  • Track record of leading small teams and developing junior staff
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on attitude
