· Manage day-to-day HR operations across assigned APAC markets, including employee records, employment documentation, HRIS data, policy administration, and employee lifecycle processes.

· Coordinate payroll inputs, benefits administration, leave tracking, statutory processes, and related reporting in partnership with local payroll providers, finance, and external advisors.

· Support compliance with applicable employment legislation, company policies, working time requirements, statutory benefits, and local market practices across assigned countries.

· Maintain accurate HR data and prepare regular reporting on headcount, turnover, leave, workforce movements, and other people metrics.

· Deliver consistent onboarding, probation, mobility, contract change, and offboarding processes aligned with AVTEL standards and local requirements.

· Partner with local managers to identify operational HR risks, resolve process gaps, and strengthen consistency across assigned APAC markets.

· Support end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition activities across assigned markets, including workforce planning, job briefing, sourcing strategy, candidate management, interviewing, offer management, reference checks and partnering with hiring managers to attract and retain talent.

Employee Relations & Manager Advisory

· Act as a trusted HR partner to employees and managers across assigned APAC markets, providing practical guidance that balances employee experience, business needs, and compliance requirements.

· Support employee relations matters including conduct, performance concerns, grievances, disciplinary processes, workplace conflict, and sensitive employee situations, escalating complex matters where appropriate.

· Coach managers on effective people management, communication, documentation, performance feedback, and difficult conversations.

· Promote fair, consistent, and values-aligned decision-making across markets while recognising local cultural and legislative differences.

· Identify opportunities to improve engagement, employee experience, accountability, and team effectiveness, supporting local leaders with practical action plans.

Regional HR Programs, Projects &Initiatives

· Support the implementation of APAC and global HR programs, including performance management, engagement initiatives, policy rollouts, employee development, workforce planning, and change activities.

· Contribute market insights and feedback to help adapt regional initiatives for local effectiveness and compliance.

· Assist with HR process improvements, templates, documentation, reporting, and systems adoption across assigned markets.

· Partner with the broader HR team to improve consistency, efficiency, and employee experience across the APAC region.

Ideal Competencies, Skills & Experience

· Experience: Minimum 7 years’ experience in HR generalist, HR advisory, or people operations roles, with exposure to more than one APAC market.

· Regional capability: Demonstrated ability to support employees and managers across multiple countries, balancing regional consistency with local employment practices and cultural expectations.

· HR knowledge: Strong understanding of HR operations, payroll coordination, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, offboarding, policy application, and compliance processes.

· Employee relations judgement: Confident managing sensitive matters with discretion, neutrality, sound documentation, and appropriate escalation.

· Stakeholder management: Able to build credibility with local leaders, employees, regional colleagues, and external providers, with the confidence to coach, influence, and challenge constructively.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
