We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing technology team supporting critical enterprise applications within a global banking environment. The role involves the design, development, enhancement, and production support of business-critical platforms, working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and infrastructure partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
  • Support application deployments, release management, and change implementation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including Level 3 support where required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across development, infrastructure, and business functions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation, and platform modernization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, and Linux/Unix.
  • Experience building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with Git, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud technologies, containerization, and microservices architecture.
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS environments.
  • Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and application performance management tools.
  • Experience within financial services, capital markets, or banking environments is advantageous.
