About the Role

We are setting up a new pest control business under an established home-services group in Singapore and are looking for an experienced Senior Pest Control Technician.

This is a hands-on position suitable for an experienced pest control technician who wants the opportunity to help build and grow a pest control operation from the ground up.

The successful candidate will initially handle both technical and field operations while working closely with management to establish our pest control procedures, service standards and operating processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out pest inspections, identify pest problems and determine the likely source/root cause.
  • Recommend appropriate pest control and prevention methods.
  • Perform pest control treatments safely and effectively at residential and commercial premises.
  • Handle common pest/vector problems including cockroaches, mosquitoes, flies and rodents.
  • Carry out baiting, trapping, pesticide application and other appropriate treatment methods.
  • Ensure pesticides, equipment and treatment methods comply with NEA requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare proper service reports documenting inspection findings, treatments performed and recommendations.
  • Explain pest problems, treatment methods and preventive measures clearly to customers.
  • Assist management in establishing pest control SOPs, treatment procedures, equipment requirements and safety standards.
  • Assist in setting up the company's pest control/vector control operations and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain pest control equipment and ensure pesticides and chemicals are properly handled and stored.
  • Train and supervise junior pest control workers/technicians as the team expands.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service.

Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Must hold a valid Singapore Vector Control Technician (VCT) licence.
  • Must have at least 3 years of relevant vector control/pest control working experience.
  • Must be able to provide supporting documentation demonstrating relevant working experience where required.
  • Strong hands-on experience in pest inspection, identification and treatment.
  • Good knowledge of pesticide application, pest-control equipment and workplace safety.
  • Able to work independently and troubleshoot pest problems.
  • Able to prepare proper service reports and communicate findings to customers.

Preferred:

  • Experience handling both residential and commercial pest-control accounts.
  • Experience supervising or training pest-control workers.
  • Class 3 driving licence.
  • Experience setting up pest-control SOPs or managing day-to-day pest-control operations.
  • Comfortable working in a growing company and helping establish a new business unit.

Who We Are Looking For

We are not looking only for someone to perform assigned pest-control jobs.

We are looking for an experienced and dependable technician who can become the technical foundation of our new pest control operation.

The right candidate should be willing to work hands-on initially and, as the business grows, take on greater responsibility in training technicians, improving operating procedures and maintaining service quality.

There will be opportunities for career progression into a Pest Control Supervisor / Operations Manager role as the business expands.

Compensation

Competitive salary based on experience and capability.

Additional incentives and career progression opportunities can be discussed with suitable candidates.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
