The posting

Company Overview

Our client is a premier energy infrastructure organization that operates critical, large-scale processing facilities.

Role Overview

Acting as a core technical anchor within the Production Team, you will partner closely with shift operations and facility owners. Your primary objective is to maintain the highest standards of safety and reliability while driving continuous process improvements across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership & Troubleshooting: Act as the subject matter expert for routine and non-routine operations, actively troubleshooting complex equipment and process anomalies to maximize plant uptime.
  • Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Analyze plant KPIs (such as power consumption and overall efficiency) to identify and lead process, energy, and equipment reliability improvements.
  • Engineering & Project Management: Conduct detailed process engineering analyses (e.g., heat and mass balances) and take full ownership of selected Management of Change (MOC) projects for facility modifications.
  • Process Safety & Compliance: Champion process safety by participating in rigorous technical reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, FMEA, RAM) and validating operational/start-up manuals against design specifications.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for operational abnormalities and safety incidents, ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented.
  • Emergency Response: Serve as an active participant in the site's emergency response framework, undertaking designated roles during drills and critical events.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
  • At least 8 years of hands-on process engineering experience, ideally within continuous heavy processing, petrochemical, or large-scale specialized gas facilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), Process Hazard Analysis, and relevant international engineering codes.
  • Proven track record in commissioning, operating, and troubleshooting complex, large-scale plant systems.
  • Cross-disciplinary understanding (electrical, instrumentation, or mechanical) and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification are highly advantageous.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
